The steak sandwich is healthy and easy to prepare, anyone can make this at home. My steak sandwich recipe is quick to make in short time and full of Asian flavors. You can easily make it for your lunchbox or weekend brunch.

Steak Sandwiches Ingredients:
For this steak sandwich recipe you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Steak – Chinese Black Pepper Steak, Korean BBQ Steak, Thai Steak.
- Vegetables – shredded cabbage or coleslaw and sliced tomatoes.
- Mayonnaise – any brand you like.
- Rolls – use baguette, focaccia rolls, beagle, or similar soft and sturdy rolls.
Other Variations:
Mongolian beef – for the stuffing, all you need to do is reheat the tender Mongolian beef leftover from the day before. The bread soaks up Mongolian sauce, which makes the sandwich even tastier. You should try this delicious sandwich, I love it.

How Do You Make Steak Sandwiches?
- Marinate the steak – you can marinate it the day before. If you want to eat them for brunch or in a lunchbox.
- Prepare the vegetables – the easiest way is to buy a coleslaw mix to your liking and sliced tomato.
- Prepare steak – heat the skillet on high. Place the steaks in it. My steak is about 3/4″ thin. So I sear it on one side for 2 to 3 minutes. Fry the other side for 1 minute, then reduce the heat to medium-high and fry the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes. Fry the steaks until they’re cooked to the desired doneness. It took me about 5-7 minutes, turning the steaks 2 times until they were well done. Then cut them into strips.
- Assemble sandwich – Slice baguette lengthwise, spread mayonnaise on both sides of the bread. Put the steak slices, veggies, and tomato on top.
What Goes Well With A Steak Sandwich?
- Air Fryer fries – fewer calories, but still delicious.
- Thai steak salad – homemade Thai style sweet and sour dressing paired with steak sandwiches, it tastes refreshing. You can find the recipe in my earlier post.
- For brunch – two fried eggs plus coleslaw, yogurt, and a cup of coffee is the perfect healthy brunch. It’s super easy and quick to make.
- For the lunchbox – prepare the steak sandwich the day before, put it in the fridge, and reheat it the next morning. Add the veggies after you reheat the sandwich. Coleslaw, tomato, and cucumber slices are great choices for your healthy lunchbox.
