Fried wonton is a type of Chinese dumpling. Fried wonton recipe is usually made with pork, green onions and spices. You may pan fried wontons or air fryer wontons.
Ingredients
Wonton Filling:
8ouncesground pork
4green onions,finely chopped
40wonton wrappers
1teaspoonwhite pepper
1tablespoonfresh ginger,minced
1tablespoonsoy sauce
2tablespoonssesame oil
2tablespoonShaoxing wine, sherry wine
Instructions
Wonton:
In a large bowl combine the seasonings to the ground meat and stir until the meat is sticky.
Then add the chopped green onion and mix well.
Prepare a small bowl with water.
Sprinkle a little flour on a baking tray. So the wontons won't stick on the baking tray.
Dip your finger in water and run it around the edge of HALF the wrapper. Then fold in half to create a triangle. Moisten the two longer tips and bring together. Press together.
Repeat with remaining wontons.
To Fry
Fill a pan with 2” of oil and heat to 375°F.
Fry 6-8 of the wontons at a time for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and repeat the process with the remaining wontons.
To Air Fryer Wontons
Air frying is even easier, and uses less oil!
Brush each prepared wonton with oil or spray with cooking oil.
Add a single layer of wontons and cook 3-5 minutes at 375°F or just until crisp.
Serve hot with Chinese sweet chili sauce.
